15 phones seized from jail, 13 inmates booked

Ludhiana: The authorities have seized 15 mobile phones in the past two days at Ludhiana central jail. The police have lodged FIRs against 13 inmates, including two Nigerian nationals.
In the first case, inmates Deepak Kumar, Damanpreet Singh, two Nigerian nationals Ogbonaya Chukwedi Emmanuel and Anthony Ugochukwu Okpala were booked after the jail staffers seized six mobile phones from them.
In the second incident, an FIR was lodged against inmates Manpreet Singh, Avtar Singh, Amandeep Singh, Lakhbir Singh, Suraj Kumar and Karamjit Singh as four mobiles were recovered from them.
On Wednesday, the authorities seized four mobile phones. Three inmates were booked in two FIRs. tnn
