1 held for sheltering child's molester

LUDHIANA: The Ludhiana police have arrested a man, identified as Ram Sewak, for allegedly sheltering the main accused in molestation case of an UKG girl in a city school. The accused has been arrested from Delhi.
ACP-North Sachin Gupta said the police have raided several places to arrest the main accused who worked in the school as a gardener. After being suspended from the school, he had left the city along with Ram Sewak.
The ACP said through Ram Sewak has denied knowing the entire matter.He told police that, he and accused are good friends and when accused asked him to go outstation for vacations, he agreed.
Ram Sewak told police that after the gardener was suspended, they first went to Rishikesh, then stayed in UP and lastly moved to Delhi.
Police have booked Ram Sewak and his wife Phulwanti under Section 212 (harbouring offender), 213(taking gift to screen an offender) IPC.
Further ACP said that the police have been trying to nab the main accused.
