LUCKNOW: The youth who had stabbed his father to
death after being caught in a compromising state with his stepmother was arrested on Friday.
The accused, Mohammad Shaan, a resident of Jankipuram, had stabbed his father, Rahim Mohammed (name changed), 17 times on Wednesday before fleeing the house. Shaan's father had succumbed to his injuries in a hospital.
Station house officer, Jankipuram, Mohammad Ashraf, said during investigation it was found that Shaan was 20-year-old and not 17 as he had claimed.
Shaan was arrested near his house following a tip-off. He was planning to flee to Mumbai and had come to collect money from some friends, police claimed. SHO added that the knife used in the crime has been recovered.
Rahim, 45, had allegedly caught Shaan in a compromising state with his stepmom. Rahim had married for the third time after the death of his two wives.
