Lucknow: From "Bhoomiyan," a surveillance and safety system featuring flame detection and real-time feedback developed by class 9 student Akhand Jaiswal, to Saurabh Bharghav's Li-Fi technology that converts light into sound, and Shlok Tripathi's nanotechnology-based defence model "Sena ka Mitra," the projects showcased cutting-edge advancements at the 22nd Regional Science Fair held at Saraswati Vidya Mandir School on Wednesday.
Exhibits spanned themes such as agriculture, renewable energy, human anatomy, and environmental protection, offering creative solutions and insights into real-world applications. The event truly celebrated the scientific spirit of young minds.
Anshima, a class 11 student, demonstrated a model on agriculture that illustrated the practices of organic and inorganic farming. Saurabh Bharghav from class 12 impressed the audience with his Li-Fi model, which converted light energy into sound energy using a solar panel and a speaker. Another standout project came from Shlok Tripathi of class 11, who showcased "Sena ka Mitra," a nanotechnology-based gun aimed at assisting defence forces.
Nanotechnology was a recurring theme, as Pratibha Singh exhibited a model highlighting its applications in purifying water, air filtration, and even drug therapy for cancer patients, including chemotherapy. Aniket Mishra, a class 10 student, explored renewable energy with his comprehensive display covering tidal, biomass, geothermal, wind, solar, and hydro energy.
The fair also featured models that explained human anatomy and bodily functions. Shreya Chaturvedi from class 9 displayed a detailed model of the digestive, excretory, and respiratory systems, while Naman Verma, also a class 10 student, showcased a working model of the human heart. Arpita Verma, also in class 9, created a model demonstrating various processes of the human body.
Electrochemistry and energy solutions were also well represented, with Nawab Hussain from class 12 presenting a Daniel Cell model, and Shikhar Pandey showcasing electrolysis, electrochemical waste management, and electroplating techniques. In addressing environmental issues, Shilpi Prajapati, a class 10 student, focused on air pollution control using e-vehicles and windmills.
The day also featured a border security system model created by Ashish Pandey and Ashmit Mishra, designed to assist soldiers guarding India's borders.
