At another rally in Ghazipur, he also accused the Samajwadi Party and Congress of trying to implement the Sharia, adding that their proposal of implementing an inheritance tax was equivalent to Mughal king Aurangzeb's 'jaziya' tax.
In another rally in Varanasi, he said that the INDIA alliance was proposing implementation of inheritance tax, suggesting a survey of ancestors' properties and allocating half to infiltrators from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
"These parties intend to seize ancestral properties through coercive means and distribute them among infiltrators and Rohingyas," he added.
Campaigning for Parasnath Rai in Ghazipur, the CM said that BJP, who had Ram Bhakts, would not rest until all evil doers were eliminated. He gave the example of the bulldozer which was being used to tackle mafia and criminals. Comparing BJP with the Opposition, the CM said that before 2014, when Ram Bhakts raised the slogan of 'Ram Lalla hum aayenge, Mandir wahin banayenge', Samajwadi Party and Congress used to mock them.
He highlighted the efforts made by the BJP govt to preserve heritage sites like Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Vindhyavasini Dham corridor, Markandeya Dham and the 'samadhi' of Kachcha Baba. "A society that reveres its heritage is impervious to external pressures and BJP's legacy includes the preservation of India's rich cultural heritage," he said.
Attacking the opposition, he said: "Upon examining the manifestos of Congress and SP, one might infer a pro-Pakistan stance. They propose extending reservation benefits meant for backward classes, scheduled castes, and tribes to Muslims. Nonetheless, Modi ji has emphatically stated that no force on earth can undermine the existing structure of reservations."
Criticising previous govts for having failed to provide development, the CM praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for schemes like the PM Awas Yojna which had benefited over 1 lakh people in Mirzapur alone. In Mirzapur and Sonbhadra, houses had been provided to the Kol, Gaur, Chero, Tharu and Musahar communities.
"Before 2014, residents here struggled for every drop of water. A dire situation persisted here for 70 years after independence under Congress and Samajwadi Party rule. Despite their long tenure, these parties failed to address the water crisis. Now, it is time to make them yearn for every vote," he said.
In Gorakhpur, the CM said that due to development in the region, Gorakhpur (Rural) was giving tough competition to Gorakhpur (Urban). "The road from Transport Nagar to Tarkulani and from Motiram Adda to Tarkulani has transformed into a bustling thoroughfare, reminiscent of Golghar and Hazratganj in Lucknow. Even the zoo is in Gorakhpur (Rural). The funds allocated for bridges and flood protection have been directed towards Gorakhpur (Rural)," he said.
