UP Police signs MoU for AI training
Lucknow: In a significant push towards technology-driven policing, UP Police has entered into a strategic partnership to strengthen its digital and technical capabilities. Under the guidance of DGP Rajeev Krishna, the Technical Services Headquarters (TS HQrs) of UP Police signed MoU with Zenith School of AI on Tuesday.The MoU aims to equip police personnel with structured training in emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, modern software systems, APIs, and cloud computing to boost digital policing and enhance operational efficiency across the force.A comprehensive 16-week training programme will be conducted, comprising 32 sessions and train 50 selected police personnel and 10 officers, enabling them to understand and apply advanced AI tools and software technologies in their day-to-day policing work.The collaboration would enhance technical expertise and foster innovation within police force. “This initiative will help personnel gain practical exposure to AI and digital tools, improving both efficiency and decision-making capabilities,” an official said.The MoU was signed by ADG (Technical Services) Naveen Arora and Zenith School of AI representative Anup Garg. DIG (Technical Services) Ashish Tiwari played key role in the pact.Officials described the collaboration as a “historic step” towards modernising Uttar Pradesh Police, aligning it with global trends in AI-driven law enforcement and digital governance.
