LUCKNOW: The police on Sunday claimed to have cracked the mosque attack case by arresting three people. The three, claimed cops, were part of the WhatsApp group that planned and executed a crude bomb attack on a mosque in the main city area on October 12 night.
Police said that the arrested accused were the members of one ‘Jai Shri Ram Hindu Bhai’ outfit and were running a WhatsApp group in the same name.

The crude bomb attack, according to police probe, was to take revenge of the desecration of an idol of Lord Shiva on the same night.
Talking to TOI, Faizabad SSP Mohit Gupta said: “Members of this group were hatching a conspiracy to create communal tension in the city. We got the clue after tracking the social sites, especially the WhatsApp groups. When we put mobiles on surveillances, our team decoded the messages sent on this social group.” The three arrested accused are Raja Jaiswal, Rishabh Pathak and Manmohan Singh, all residents of Faizabad city.
“These culprits spread the messages after the incident of temple, ‘Road na jaam karo, masjid me bomb rakh do, marne do un logon ko” (don’t jam the roads, plant bombs in the mosque, let them die). We are looking for more members of this group, who are on our radar. Soon, we will arrest them also,” the SSP said.
