Sports league for local youths begins

Lucknow: To encourage talented sportspersons, ‘Sarojininagar Sports League’ for local youths began on Tuesday. “The league aims to enhance sports talent in the contituency,” Sarojininagar MLA Rajeshwar Singh said while announed the launch of the event.
In the first phase, ‘Under-19 Basketball Tournament’ was organized in the memory of late Tara Singh, mother of the Sarojininagar MLA.The final match was played between SKD Academy Vrindavan and DPS Eldeco a SKD Academy, Vrindavan Yojna. International cricketer Rudra Pratap Singh was the chief guest. Rajeshwar Singh awarded the champion team cash prize of Rs 50,000 and a trophy. The first runner-up team was awarded Rs 25,000 and the second runner-up team was awarded Rs 11,000.
