SP warns BJP will not form govt in UP in 2027
Lucknow: Samajwadi Party chief spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary on Friday charged the UP govt with using the bulldozer to create fear in the state, but warned that as a repercussion, the BJP would not form the govt in UP in 2027.Speaking on the governor's address, the MLC alleged that bulldozers were being used to create fear among people since the time of the Emergency. "I went to jail during the Emergency, some 50 years back. The then govt also used the bulldozer to spread fear. Turkman gate in Delhi is witness to it. However, the repercussion of that was that the govt was wiped out in the next election. The same fate waits for the BJP," he said.
The SP functionary added that, in the past nine years, the BJP got the opportunity to do something positive and constructive for the state. However, other than spreading fear, carrying out fake encounters and constantly criticising the previous SP govt, it wasted the opportunity. "The BJP derailed the state so much that when we form the govt in 2027, it will take us years to get UP back on track," he said.Chaudhary accused the BJP govt of acting against democracy and the principles of the Constitution. He said that the actions and language of the govt showed that it was arrogant and that this was its last year in govt.Asking what concrete steps were taken for the improvement and upliftment of the state, Chaudhary said that there was corruption at every level. Crores of people remained unemployed, while women were the most impacted in the state, which supposedly had "zero tolerance" towards crime and the mafia."Women are the most impacted. Rape cases are going up, women can't even walk safely on the streets, but this govt believes that law and order is great. In the name of zero tolerance, they are carrying out fake encounters. Over 9,000 people were shot. There is disorder and anarchy everywhere," he said.Chaudhary said that real development was brought to the state by SP chief Akhilesh Yadav when he was CM before 2017. While the BJP believes that development happened only after it came to power and that it pulled UP out of BIMARU state, it actually did nothing and took advantage of projects initiated by the previous SP govt."It basically believes that by threatening and scaring people, showing them the bulldozer and shooting people in the leg, it will spread panic. The result of this is that in the next election, the BJP will be nowhere," he said. Get the latest lifestyle updates on Times of India, along with Valentine's day wishes, messages and quotes !
