Seven awarded death in honour killing case

BADAUN (UTTAR PRADESH): A local court on Monday sentenced seven persons to gallows for killing a couple in 2006.
Deen Dayal and Anita were in a relationship which was opposed to the girl's family, said the prosecution.
Both were killed on the night of May 22 in Faridpur village of Gunnaur area by the family members of Anita and their bodies were set ablaze, he said.
Anita's father Nathu, Viresh, Pappu, Rakesh, Jai Prakash and two others were sentenced to death by Additional District Judge SN Tripathi.
