LUCKNOW: The Regional Transport Office (RTO) and traffic department caught 40 vehicles flouting norms on Friday.
In the drive, total fine worth Rs 32,000 was realised from the vehicles, which were caught. As many as 12 vehicles were caught for unauthorised use of red and blue beacons. While, the beacons were removed from some of the vehicles, at least four vehicles were seized.

On the other hand, 10 unregistered vehicles were also caught. "We will serve Trade Certificate (TC) suspension notice to at least four dealers in the city," said Sanjay Nath Jha, ARTO (enforcement). Besides, 18 vehicles were fined for faulty number plates. The drive was conducted in Polytechnic crossing.
