RSS leader bats for communal harmony
Lucknow: Senior RSS functionary Indresh Kumar on Saturday exhorted youths to respect diversity and said only communal harmony and unity can help a nation grow.Kumar was addressing students of Lucknow Christian College students during a seminar on ‘Azadi ka Amritkal, Hum Bhartiya Yuvak evam Yuvati’.“Like we respect our mother in the same way we should respect our country and make it proud. We live in a country where people of different religions, regions, castes and cultures reside hence we should make efforts to strengthen our unity in diversity,” said Kumar. He said it is the communal harmony and unity that can help in the progress of any nation. “Indianness is the identity of our existence in this world. Therefore, it is the duty of all to give equal importance to our beliefs and the beliefs of other religions.”Vigyan Bharti’s organizing secretary Shreyansh Mandloi made an appeal to students to take steps to save the environment. LCC principal DJ Godin, senior professor Maulindo Mishra, associate professor Rishi Kumar Mishra and others were present on the occasion.
