Lucknow: With the arrest of four people on Tuesday, Indiranagar police claim to have busted a gang of robbers targeting traders and bank customers .
Ayaan Khan and Mohamed Rashid of Ambedkar Nagar and Vipin Singh and Jasim Khan of Sultanpur were arrested from Vimal Kunj in Indiranagar. Police said they were planning to target a bank customer at Gramin Bank of Aryavart. "They had planned to loot a trader in Naka market on Wednesday but their arrest spoiled their plan," said circle officer of Ghazipur Dinesh Puri. The police recovered a .32 bore pistol, a magazine, five live cartridges each of .32 bore, a country- made pistol, three live cartridges and two stolen bikes from them.
"Two of them used to conduct a recce of banks where customers were withdrawing or depositing cash. Those with large amount of money were on their target list," said ASP (trans-Gomti) Jaiprakash.The miscreants had executed loot in Ambedkar Nagar, Sultanpur, Faizabad, Barabanki, Lucknow and Mumbai.
