Ranjeet was booked for sexual assault

Ranjeet was declared absconding by

Gorakhpur police

in a case of sexual harassment lodged by his sister-in-law. Shahpur SHO Arun Pawar said that the woman had lodged a case of sexual harassment, punishment for voluntarily causing hurt and criminal intimidation on September 1, 2017.


"We were investigating the case and had also got a non-bailable warrant issued against Ranjeet in September because he was absconding," said Pawar. Police were also going to apply for confiscation of property owned by Ranjeet.

"Now, we will be forced to file a final report in the case," he said.
