In the form of 'nagar kirtan', the yatra travelled from Sarojninagar to Sadar Gurdwara where a 'darbar' was organised. Thousands of Sikhs on foot and in vehicles thronged the area to pay tributes and receive blessings from the Guru amid petal showers and reverberations of 'Jo bole so nihaal...Sat Sri Akal'.
"The yatra will travel through 19 states to reach Sultanpur Lodhi in Punjab, where the Guru stayed for several years," said Rajendra Singh Bagga, president of the Lucknow Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee.
