Petrol price hike will hit millions of poor: Mayawati

Lucknow: BSP national president Mayawati said state govt should extend all possible help to people and families who suffered massive loss in destruction caused by recent severe storms in various parts of UP and help them resume their lives.

Talking about increase in the prices of petrol and diesel, besides increase in prices of other essential petroleum products continuing, Mayawati said central govt’s decision will severely impact lives of millions of poor and hard-working people, along with those engaged in farming and agriculture and also of the middle class.





“Because this inflation will directly affect the sustenance of people, govt must take meaningful and necessary steps to curb recurring price hike,” she added.
