Parent speak
I always keep a tab on the driver and frequently ask the school authorities about whether they are following the safety norms laid down by RTO or not. For me it's imperative to know if my child is safe or not. My daughter has complained about over-loading in her school bus and I, myself, have taken up the matter with school authorities.
Govind Pandey
I am well aware about the guidelines laid down by RTO for school vehicles.

I make it a point to check the driver's license, permits and fitness certificate of the vehicle. My son has never complained about over-loading in his van. Besides, there is an escort present in his school van to take care of the children.

School drivers are very careless and they drive rash. I am scared to send my daughter in the school transportation for the reason that they do not follow any safety measures. I drop them to school myself.
Ashima Satija
At times, my child complains about over-loading. I believe that the schools should pay attention to such things.
Gopal Singh
I have never checked the antecedents of the bus driver and have neither enquired about the permit, the fitness certificate of the vehicle nor the licence of the driver. I strongly believe that it's the responsibility of the school authorities since the buses are owned by them. They are solely responsible for the safety of the children.
