It was evident that the police was finding it difficult to even ascertain his true identity and name.
Confirmed sources told Times News Network that the intelligence agencies had taken two defence security core (DSC) employees identified as Mohammad Yunus and Reji Hasan into custody for interrogation. The intelligence agencies were trying to expose the racket of the Pak spy and all of his close associates in Kanpur.
Before being stationed in Kanpur, this Pak spy Mohammad Anwar holding the rank of a Nayab Subedar, hired a room in Begumpurva with the express purpose of being close to the local defence establishment which was a mere kilometre away.
After settling down he tried to establish a nexus with armymen and later succeeded in establishing relations with a DSC (Defence Security Core) employee identified as Reji Hasan.
Sources added that Hasan and Mohammad Anwar had several meetings before the arrival of Yunus in Kanpur. Later, it was Yunus who kept meeting Mohammad Anwar.
Sources added that Reji Hasan was transferred around one and half years ago to Kohima but before leaving for Kohima Hasan had introduced Yunus to Mohammad Anwar (the Pak spy). Sources added that Mohammad Yunus was taken into the custody of intelligence agencies on Monday. The intelligence agencies were on a definite task to unearth the network of two more close associates of Mohammad Anwar.
