Awasthi said that for Lalit Kumar, a non-cadre post of OSD has been created temporarily outside the purview of the UP Public Service Commission in Group ‘B’, equivalent to dySP.
Awasthi said that honouring players is the priority of the state government. Along with giving respect to the players by the state government, they have also started posting them in government service.
Senior police officers told TOI that Lalit will be one of the first to get the post of OSD. “His emoluments and payscale will be equal to an officer of dySP rank,” said an officer.
