Lucknow: Shelves loaded with books from Indian history to

, from Mario Puzo to John Grisham and even children's tales, evoked the memory of Lucknow's iconic bookseller Ram Advani at Sanatkada on Saturday. As the first-ever second hand book corner, named after Advani, was launched, book lovers poured their hearts in donating books and even buying some they had long been looking for. "This is an idea worth trying, especially in a place where people came for things other than books until now," said scientist Amit Mishra.

Inaugurated by Advani's sister Mohini Manglik and friend Saleem Kidwai, the book corner was launched by a reading session by Saman Habib, Masto, Askari, Kenna Shree and Rishad Rizvi. "I am privileged to be the younger sister of Ram who is being remembered by the city this way," said Mohini.
