LUCKNOW: Union minister for social justice and chief of Republican Party of India Ramdas Athawale on Thursday said that the NDA coalition will bag more than 350 seats in the 2024.

Talking to reporters after meeting with party cadres in the city, Athawale said: "The kind of work the Narendra Modi government has done is sure to pay dividends."

Insisting that he has asked for 3-4 seats for his party, Athawale said that he had extended all out support to the BJP. Asked to comment on the opposition party's bid for unity, he said: "It is no child's play to beat Modi-Yogi... because they have upheld the cause of the people with utmost genuineness."

Stating that his party had launched a membership drive, he said that he would be holding conventions and meetings in several important cities of Uttar Pradesh.

"First in the series would take place in Meerut in August," he said.
