lucknow: justice bhanwar singh of the high court here, while issuing non-bailable warrants of arrest against the secretary, registrar and additional registrar, co-operatives, lalit srivastava, rm srivastava and rk shukla, respectively, for flouting orders of the court, directed for their personal appearance on september 10 next. the order was passed on a contempt petition filed by jai singh pal, a former co-operative supervisor in aligarh on may 1 last .
it was contended that on november 22, last year the high court, while allowing special appeal of the petitioner pal, had directed the contemners to promote the petitioner. since the petitioner has retired from service, the court had ordered to provide pension benefits on the basis of scale after his promotion. on may 24 last, the high court had allowed six week's time to contemners to file response in respect of the compliance of the earlier orders. despite court orders, neither counter-affidavit was filed nor directions were complied with. the court, taking serious view against the contemners issued nbws accordingly for their appearance on september 10.
