Naqvi slams oppn over women quota bill

Lucknow: Senior BJP functionary Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Monday said that the “technical defeat” of women reservation bill will prove to be a “political disaster” for “women empowerment lynching lobby”.

Talking to reporters in Lucknow, Naqvi said that the opposition is engaged in “distractive and negative political play” on “women empowerment mission”. “The defaulter dynasty has written the script of their own political debacle by celebrating the political lynching of women reservation bill,” he said.

Naqvi said that those who have defrauded to diminish the political empowerment of women by stalling the women bill, have done a self-goal. He said that those who are celebrating “political victory” through “technical trickery” must understand that they may have been able to defer the mission of women empowerment, but they can’t defeat and derail or indefinitely delay it.

“Modi govt’s resolve regarding women reservation is bound to be realised,” he said.

Naqvi said the Congress and its allies are “history-sheeter” of hit and run hysteria. He said the opposition was trying to disturb “every social, economic, inclusive reform”.

Naqvi said the Congress is unable to accept that for the first time a non-Congress govt is taking the country forward on the path of good governance and prosperity that too without any “Congress’ support or remote”.

“That is why the Congress is conspiring to create an environment of instability and anarchy in the country,” he said.
