NAAC teaminspects 48KGMU depts

Lucknow: Eight-member peer team of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) arrived for inspection of KGMU on Thursday.It visited 48 departments and interacted with alumni, non-teaching staff, students and their parents on day one. During its three-day visit, the team will conduct revaluation of the university for grading. Chairperson of the peer team is Prof Jaspal Singh Sandhu, vice-chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and Prof Smriti Nanda is the coordinator.NAAC accreditation is done every five years to rank an institution based on quality of academics, services and activities. Earlier, KGMU had got ‘A’ grade in 2017 and is now hoping to improve its rank.The university was decorated with new façade lightingto welcome the team.
