Minor girl abducted, gang-raped by 3 men

Lucknow: Three men abducted a 15-year-old Dalit girl and gang-raped her before dumping her in Cantonment police station area on Wednesday night.The police recovered the girl on Thursday evening. The girl was bleeding as the accused had inflicted injuries on her hands with a blade.The police registered a case on the complaint of the rape survivor’s mother. The girl was on a visit to her grandmother’s house in Lucknow on summer vacation.On the basis of the details provided by the rape survivor, police got the sketches of the accused prepared and later arrested them.The accused were identified as Irfan (24), Asif (20) and Halim (30).“My daughter had come to Lucknow a week ago. Around 8.30pm on Wednesday, she was washing utensils outside the house when three men abducted her,” she said.“They took her to a forest area near Dilkusha where they held her hostage and repeatedly raped her. When I could not find my daughter, I lodged a complaint at Cantonment police station,” the girl’s mother said.Assistant commissioner of police, Cantonment, Abhinav Kumar, said: “When the girl gained consciousness, she informed the police that the three men abducted and gang-raped her. They slit her hands with blades and threatened to kill her if she reported the matter to the police.”
