LUCKNOW: At least two people were killed and 3 others critically injured after a massive explosion ripped through an illegal firecracker factory on Thursday in Sarai Barai village, under the Tikaitnagar police station area in Barabanki.
The blast triggered a fire that quickly spread to nearby houses.
Panic has spread across the area following the explosion.
Firefighters managed to control the fire after strenuous efforts, and rescue operations were still underway at the site.
The identities of the deceased are yet to be confirmed, while the injured are currently fighting for their lives in hospital.
