Manoj Singh moved out of UPSIDC

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh government on Friday transferred 1989 batch IAS officer Manoj Singh, one of the longest-serving managing directors of the UP State Industrial Development Corporation (UPSIDC), and appointed him as principal secretary of the social welfare department. Singh was appointed to the post in May 2012, within months of chief minister Akhilesh Yadav assuming charge of UP.

Amit Kumar Ghosh has now been given additional charge of Singh's responsibilities. The government also appointed former Census director Neena Sharma as secretary to the department of women's welfare.
