Man buries woman’s body in courtyard

Lucknow: An elderly woman was murdered and the suspect buried her body in his house to hide his crime in Itaunja police station area.
The woman’s family members had lodged a missing report with the police on Monday. The autopsy revealed that the woman had a head injury. The suspect used to address the deceased as ‘sister’.
DCP North Zone, Qasim Abidi said the family members of the victim developed a doubt over their neighbour Mohammed Qasim and they quizzed him.
On seeing Qasim nervous they called police and the body was exhumed from the house of the suspect.
“The police found footage in which the woman was seen going towards the house of the suspect,” said the DCP.
Police sources said the suspect initially cooked up stories, but later confessed that he had buried the body in the courtyard at his house.
