LUCKNOW: With the better part of the investigations into the high profile Madhumita murder case through, the Central Bureau of Investigations is now preparing to question Madhumani, the wife of former minister Amarmani Tripathi.
Sources said that Madhumani would be questioned largely on the basis of the four paged letter apparently written by Madhumita addressed to Amarmani Tripathi which dwelts at length on the poestesses'' relationship with him and the subsequent bad blood it had caused between her and Madhumani.
The letter clearly speaks about the two abortions which Madhumani had to undergo earlier and referred to the opinion of the doctors that getting the third preagnancy terminated can prove detrimental for the mother.
Sources also said that the CBI was closing in on the assailants of Madhumita and had collected some vital clues from the response which poured in after the computer sketches of the two murderers, prepared on the description provided by Deshraj, the teenaged domestic help of Madhumita and the lone eye witness to the killing.
Officials said that it was only after the arrest of the assailants that the investigators would lay their hands on the other prominent accused.
Amarmani Tripathi, till now the prime suspect behind the sensational murder of Madhumita, was a minister in the erstwhile Mayawati cabinet and her confidant. He was, however, suspended after his name figured in the murder of Madhumita.
