LUCKNOW: Even as the CBI prepares to oppose before the high court, the decision of the CBI court refusing police remand of Madhumani Tripathi - accused in Madhumita murder case - Madhumani (wife of prime accused Amarmani Tripathi) was admitted to the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Insititute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) on Monday following a stomach disorder.
The CBI request for police remand of Madhumani is pending before the high court. Though well-wishers of Madhumani insist she was suffering from a stomach ailment, the CBI team investigating the case claimed this was an "unexpected development" and might be designed to evade police remand.
Even though there was no official word on Madhumani''s admission to SGPGIMS, sources at SGPGIMS said she was admitted to the Gastro department under Dr Vivek Saraswat''s care and was suffering from gastro intestinal bleeding.
