Waiting for his beloved Paro in the park, Dev falls asleep. In his dream, he sees Paro is engaged and out of frustration he kills himself. When the god of death Yamraj comes to take him, Dev resists and says he would go only if Paro came along. His dream, as also his sleep, is broken when Paro wakes him up and gives the heartening news that her father has agreed to their match.
This was the premise of ‘Dev ki Paro', the play written and directed by
Imran Khan, organised by Awadh Combined Natya Akademi as part of ‘Rang Kala Utsav' and staged at UP Sangeet Natak Akademi on Thursday. Main roles were played by Shashank Pandey (Dev), Anamika Singh (Paro) and Atul Diwedi (Yamraj).
