Lucknow: The high court on Wednesday again expressed its displeasure on dengue menace in the city.
It said the state government and the municipal corporation should take more steps to control the breeding of dengue mosquitoes. The court was dissatisfied with the volume and manner of fogging in the city. It fixed November 11 for next hearing on the issue.
A bench of Chief Justice Rajesh Bindal and Justice Jaspreet Singh passed the order on a PIL moved by AK Mishra.
In compliance with an earlier order of the court, additional chief standing counsel Amitabh Rai and municipal corporation’s counsel Namit Sharma filed replies on the steps being taken to control dengue.
At this, the bench said it did not want paper work and instead wanted to see steps being taken on the ground.
The bench was concerned over the lack of fogging. It said LMC should take help of public for fogging at places where mosquito breeding is enormous.
