Lucknow: A man accused a prominent jeweller of Hazratganj and his manager of forgery and criminal breach of trust, claiming that he was duped of Rs 15 lakh and threatened.
In his FIR, the complainant,
Suresh Chand Srivastava of Jankipuram said he had subscribed to the scheme of the company/firm (dealing in ornaments) owned by Aveg Malhotra, purchasing 200 gram of gold (24 carat) at the rate of Rs 32,200 per gram in 2021 for his daughter, whose marriage was fixed in the months to come.
“I deposited gold with the company in the hope to get attractive refunds and was promised 258 gram of gold in lieu of the investment,” he said.

Rajesh Tandon adopted dilly dallying tactics in the name of giving him the benefits of the scheme he had purchased from the firm.
ACP, Hazratganj, Arvind Verma said that an FIR under sections 420 (dishonesty) and 409 (criminal breach of trust) of IPC has been registered .
