Jan Akrosh rally raises B’desh issue
Lucknow: Several right-wing and trader organizations came together to take out Jan Akrosh rally from Lucknow University to Hazratganj on the occasion of International Human Rights Day, demanding Union govt to raise the issue of atrocities on Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh at the United Nations.
The event saw participation from various organizations, including the Akhil Bhartiya Udyog Vyapar Mandal (ABUVM), Bangladesh Hindu Raksha Sangharsh Samiti, BJP Lucknow unit, Iskcon temple, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Hindu Jagran Manch, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Sikh Sangat, Adhivakta Parishad, Sahitya Parishad and Vidya Bharti. Mayor Sushma Kharakwal, ABUVM president Sandeep Bansal, Member of Legislative Assembly Neeraj Bora and Member of Legislative Council Mukesh Sharma were among those who participated in the event.
Jatin Shukla, a member of ABVP, said, "It is our collective responsibility to ensure that human rights violations are addressed globally. The Indian govt must take this issue to the United Nations and demand justice for those oppressed in Bangladesh."
Rishendra Pratap Singh, ABVP representative, said, "Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh face systemic discrimination and violence. We are here not just as members of organizations but as voices for the voiceless."
Vicky Mishra, member of Sewa Bharti, said, "India has always stood for the protection of the oppressed. We must continue this legacy by ensuring the safety and dignity of minorities in Bangladesh" Alok Sharma, member of Vyapari Sangathan, said, "Hindus and other minorities have suffered a lot in Bangladesh and it's high time now for us to take actions on such atrocities."
