(ATS) and Rajasthan police.

Active for more than five years, the ISI agent was used as a mole by members in a neighbouring state to transfer money to other agents and members of sleeper cells in

said Jamaluddin worked as a manager at a hotel located in Allahabad and moved to Varanasi to work in another hotel.

Sleuths have so far been able to unearth money trail of about Rs 1.5 lakh through Western Unionand were tracing the further trail. The money was sent to Jamaluddin from Sharjah,

, police probes revealed. Through cyber forensics, police were trying to recover data from Jamaluddin's cell phone. Jamaluddin was also part of the espionage racket unearthed in December 2015 and was sponsored by Pakistan. The espionage was aimed to obtain sensitive information related to Pokharan nuclear blast and several members of government and army staff have been arrested.

It was found that money that made its way to ex-armyman

Gordhan Singh

, also held for supplying Pokharan related information to Pakistan, was routed through Jamaluddin.

Police confirmed that said Jamaluddin had visited

South Africa

in the past and they were gathering details of people from Pakistan and UAE who were in touch with him.
