Intach ropes in kids for monument upkeep

LUCKNOW: Children from 10-odd city schools would lend their time to Swachcha Bharat Abhiyan dedicated to the cause of heritage.
Under the aegis of Intach's Lucknow chapter, the children would hold a cleanliness drive in Maqbara Saadat Ali Khan on Sunday. An on-the-spot painting competition would also be organised for them.
“This is being done as part of Clean Monument campaign organised to turn children into crusaders for heritage,” said Intach’s Lucknow convenor Vipul Varshney.
She added that schools would be expected to adopt a monument and designate monument monitors who would observe, interact and monitor the cleanliness of the monument and its surrounding for a month and then submit a report including pictures.
