Lucknow: The gap continued the trend of female students securing better results in the state board examinations and reflected their strong academic performance across districts.Board secretary Bhagwati Singh said the historic result was the outcome of students’ hard work, timely completion of the examination process and transparent evaluation. He said discipline and efficiency maintained throughout the examination cycle contributed significantly to the strong performance. The achievement appears even more striking when viewed against the board’s historical lows. In 1992, the High School pass percentage dropped to just 14.70%, one of the weakest performances in its history. That year, only 8.47% of boys passed, while girls recorded 36.44%.
