IB director visits UP Police HQ

Lucknow: Director of Intelligence Bureau, Tapan Kumar Deka, visited the Uttar Pradesh Police Headquarters in Lucknow on Wednesday.During the meeting, DGP Prashant Kumar apprised him about the SMART policing model of UP Police. He emphasised that organised crime, mafia networks, and anti-social elements had been dismantled in Uttar Pradesh, fostering a sense of security, legal confidence and public trust. He also mentioned the international recognition of UP Police's role in ensuring the grand and secure execution of Maha Kumbh.Several senior officers, including commissioners and ADGs, made presentations on law enforcement advancements and technological innovations. A short film on Maha Kumbh showcased UP Police's efforts in ensuring the event's smooth execution.
