HBA panel seeks Hapur admin’s help

Lucknow: The Elders’ Committee of the Hapur Bar Association (HBA) has written to the Hapur district judge, the district magistrate and the police chief to seek proper arrangements to help litigants get hassle-free access to the court premises for judicial work.
“The Elders’ Committee manages the day-to-day affairs of the bar association when the executive committee of the bar association is not in place. As the current tenure of the executive committee has expired, it is now our responsibility to run the bar association,” the letter said.
“The chairman of the UP Bar Council had on September 19 called off the lawyers’ strike. The Hapur Bar Association wants to resume judicial work but the litigants are in a state of confusion over the actual situation.”
“We urge the district authorities to make adequate arrangements to ensure that judicial work is not affected in any way,” it added.

Joint council of associations to stage one-day strike

The Tamil Nadu joint council of association has announced a one-day strike in Coimbatore on September 25 to address issues faced by industries, including a hike in electricity charges. Industries are struggling with a shortage of skilled labor, slow economic activity, and rising raw material costs. The Micro, small, and medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are particularly affected, and despite raising concerns with the state government, no solution has been found. This strike aims to draw attention to these problems.
