Lucknow: Governor Anandiben Patel on Monday said the society is supportive when there is an assurance that the resources made available to them are effectively utilised.“Whether it is the institutions situated within the Jan Bhawan premises or the Anganwadi centres across the state, contributions received from society, organisations and individuals have played a pivotal role in their transformation,” Patel said, while inaugurating a building of Adarsh Madhyamik Vidyalaya at the Jan Bhawan premises. Built at a cost of ₹5.17 crore — of which ₹4.7 crore was contributed by the govt — the school has a student strength of 500.Pointing out the changes at Jan Bhawan, Patel said the govt can’t deliver amenities everywhere, and at all times, and so, society too must contribute in best possible ways. “We have effectively utilised the CSR provided by banks and other resources,” she said. She said, “At Jan Bhawan, we give equal importance to academics, sports and co-curricular activities. Officials, staff members and children collectively participate in various sports and activities, fostering both physical well-being and a spirit of teamwork. This promotes a healthy lifestyle.”The governor and chief minister Yogi Adityanath inspected the entire premises, interacted with the students, and gathered information regarding their classrooms, activities, laboratories and other facilities. Additionally, a book titled ‘Hamara Jan Bhawan’, authored by the governor — chronicling the initiatives undertaken at Jan Bhawan over the past seven years — was also released.
Basic education minister Sandeep Singh said that the school at Jan Bhawan premises has undergone a comprehensive transformation under the governor’s guidance. “Equipped with modern amenities, including computer and AI laboratories, this school is poised to serve as a foundation for the students’ bright future,” Singh said.Deputy chief ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, finance minister Suresh Khanna and secondary education minister Gulab Rani attended the event.
