KANPUR: Madhuraj Advanced Infertility and IVF Centre announced the birth of its first triplet test tube babies in Kanpur.
Dr Madhu Lumba, senior gynaecologist, said that after having taken treatment for infertility at several places, an infertile couple underwent the procedure of IVF at Madhuraj Nursing Home in the first week of November 2001 and after successful implantation of three embryos the patient delivered healthy triplets on June 15, 2002.
Of the three babies two male and one female.
Madhuraj Advanced Infertility and IVF Centre, established one and half years ago, had been running very successfully having delivered many children, both male and female, both single and twins, with a number of ongoing pregnancies in the pipeline.
Dr Madhu Lumba said that the results of the IVF Centre had been very encouraging with a success rate of about 20 per cent pregnancy outcome, which was comparable to the best IVF centres in the world.
