LUCKNOW: A domestic help on Sunday was arrested on charges of theft at the house of
Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation's (LMRC) general consultant in
Jopling Road
.
According to police,
Fabio Urso
of Italy had employed Aarti for house-related work at his apartment on Joplin Road. Not satisfied with her work, Fabio decided to relieve Aarti off her duties on November 16. On November 19, however, Fabio's wife found a pair of diamond-studded ear rings, a necklace, a gold ring, besides other gold ornaments missing from the almirah. When she informed Fabio about the theft, he asked his assistant to look into the matter.
On Fabio's instructions, his assistant hatched a plan to bring Aarti to book. On the pretext of providing her reemployment at Fabio's house, he called her at Fabio's house.
Aarti fell in the trap and reached the ho use, where she was inquired about the theft. Thereafter, Fabio informed the police. During fris king, the police re covered an earring from her bag. Later, she was taken to
Hazratganj Kotwali
for further interrogation, and a case was registered against her on Sunday morning.
SHO, Hazratganj, RK Singh said, “A police team raided her house and recovered all the
stolen goods
. Further investigations are on.“
