Dist, tehsil officials to be held responsible for land row cases

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed officials in Lucknow to prioritize the resolution of land disputes. He warned that district and tehsil officers would be held accountable if any incidents occur over land disputes in their jurisdiction. Adityanath also emphasized the need to take action against land mafia and other illegal activities, and to prevent the illegal occupation of land belonging to vulnerable groups. He directed officials to install CCTV cameras in major locations and markets, and to closely monitor cases related to land measurement and transfer. Adityanath also highlighted the importance of addressing issues such as religious conversion, cow smuggling, and love jihad.

LUCKNOW: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath instructed the officials to prioritise resolution of land disputes cautioning them that district and tehsil officers would be held accountable if any incident happens over land dispute in their jurisdiction.
During a divisional review meeting held on Wednesday in Basti, the Chief Minister said, "Actions should be taken against land mafia, mining, and other illegal activities.

No one should be able to illegally occupy the land of the weak, poor, entrepreneurs, or businessmen," he said, instructing officials to install CCTV cameras facing the roads in major locations and markets of the city.
Addressing officials two days after six people were killed in Deoria over an alleged land dispute, the CM said that on the Sampoorna Samadhan Divas and Thana Diwas, senior officers should monitor cases closely with seriousness. He emphasized that cases related to measurement and transfer of land should be taken seriously and resolved within 48 hours. A system should be made to review such cases at the division, district and tehsil level.
"The status of disposal of cases of other departments should be reviewed regularly, any kind of laxity in this will not be forgiven. If any incident occurs in a land dispute, accountability will be fixed on the respective district and tehsil," he said.
The CM directed officials to be vigilant in matters of religious conversion, cow smuggling and love jihad and keep a special watch on areas along the Nepal border. All cyber stations and cyber help desks should remain active, he said. The CM directed officials to maintain regular communication with public representatives and asked them to visit newly constructed Atal Residential Schools in their division. The CM also took a feedback on the state of vector borne diseases like dengue, chikungunya, malaria and filaria and directed officials to ensure that health centres are equipped with staff and medicines to handle such cases. He said special sanitation campaign should be launched this week.
