Lucknow: Development is a continuous process, and policymakers must ensure equal participation of all sections of society in the development process, said vice-chancellor of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Badri Narayan Tiwari during the foundation day celebration of Dr Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) on Monday.
Addressing student and teachers during a seminar ‘Udhyamita se Samaveshi Vikas: Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar ki Drishti Me’, “There is a need to revisit the ideals and messages of Dr Ambedkar as adopting them is essential for building an inclusive society. Entrepreneurship should be promoted as it leads to knowledge creation and empowers society.”
President of the Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DICCI) Manish Verma highlighted the organization’s role and objectives in empowering marginalized communities through entrepreneurship. “Today, individuals from lower castes are achieving success in business and industry, who were once far from the mainstream,” he said.
On this occasion, entrepreneurs were honoured with mementos, certificates, and traditional shawls for their outstanding work, innovative efforts, and significant contributions to society.
