Corbett ranger's son appointed forester

dehra dun: the slain deputy forest ranger's son has been appointed as a forester at the corbett tiger reserve in uttaranchal. nirmal kumar pandey, son of vipin chandra pandey, who was killed on tuesday by armed miscreants in the corbett tiger reserve has been given job to support his family, director digvijay singh khati told uni over phone. mr khati said rs 30,000 as compensation has also been given by the principal chief conservator of forests. extraordinary pension to the family has also been recommended, he added. state forest minister kandhari visited the area and expressed the grief with mr pandey's family and also met injured rangers hira singh halsi and janardhan pathak. "we have intensified combing in 80 square km area and are concentrating on the fringe area which borders uttar pradesh," khati said.
