Contempt case: HC bench pulls up addl CS
Lucknow: The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court on Monday pulled up additional chief secretary (revenue) Sudhir Garg for not complying with an order passed by the HC in 2021, warning him with contempt charges.However, the bench refrained itself later when Garg assured the bench that he would comply with the order within a week. The court has fixed the matter for July 18.The bench of Justice Vivek Chaudhary passed the order on a contempt plea moved by one Munni Devi. The petitioner had stated that the state government was not complying with an order of the court passed on August 11, 2021, with regard to a service issue.
