Committed to farmers’ welfare: Min

Lucknow: The government is committed to the welfare of farmers and increasing their income, said UP agriculture minister Surya Pratap Shahi while inaugurating FPOs Industry Partnership programme in Lucknow on Friday. Chairman of Indian Chamber of Food and Agriculture (ICFA) MJ Khan said the momentum to agricultural growth would go a long way in empowering the farmers. CGM of NABARD, SK Dora, expressed the need for training modules for farmers in FPOs. Mukesh Singh, chairman of Indo-American chamber of commerce, stressed on creating conducive environment for tie-ups between FPO and industry.
