Lucknow: A centre aimed at ensuring mental wellness of students was inaugurated at Shri Jai Narayan Mishra Post Graduate College (KKC) on Thursday.
The centre will offer psychosocial counselling and promote mental health.
The KKC MI centre will cater to not only students of the college but is open for all youths, said chief UNICEF field officer for Uttar Pradesh Amit Mehrotra.
He said, “Muskurayega India was conceptualized by NSS and UNICEF in April 2020 to make available the much-needed psychosocial counselling at the time of pandemic. ”
“Muskurayega India is a unique, one-of-its-kind largest team intervention in the field of Mental Health awareness in India. Today, over 120 active, committed and specially trained university teachers of NSS Uttar Pradesh, are contributing as Muskurayega India counsellors in different districts of Uttar Pradesh,” said social and behaviour change specialist UNICEF Bhai Shelly.
