LUCKNOW: A gas agency
The deceased Shyam Singh (45) worked at Bihari Gas Agency, which is just 500 metres away from the spot of crime.
Singh used to visit the Bank of India branch daily to deposit cash from the gas agency, police said.
"Singh reached the bank around 10:30am to deposit Rs 10 lakh and parked his bike outside a juice stall. While he was heading towards the bank, two bike-borne men wearing helmet, came from behind and one of them shot Singh in the chest and snatched his cash bag. Pradeep Gupta, who works in a nearby office, said a constable was standing near the spot where the cashier was shot but walked away instead of offering help. Some passers-by then informed UP

SSP Kalnidhi Naithani said Singh suffered single gunshot on the chest. “The precision with which Singh was shot dead indicates the hand of a criminal,” said Naithani.
SSP said seven police teams have been formed to crack the case. “These teams will trace the route of the assailants, collect footage from the CCTV cameras, look for mobile locations in the area, collect details of those Singh met in the last one week, crosscheck details of past loots and interrogate those arrested and carry out ground operations,” said Naithani.
Later, a forensic team visited the spot for finding evidences. A team of the Special Task Force also visited the spot.
Shyam Singh is survived by his wife Bhawna (40) and two daughters Guncha Singh
