Ayodhya, Sultanpur get new DMs as govt transfers 61 IAS officers

Lucknow: In a flurry of transfers between Sunday and Monday, UP govt transferred 61 IAS officers, giving the state 25 new district magistrates. Ayodhya gets a new DM, Shashank Tripathi, a 2016 batch officer who was DM of Barabanki before this. Former Lucknnow municipal commissioner and incumbent special secretary energy Inderjit Singh is the new Sultanpur DM.

The first list, issued late on Sunday, effected 38 transfers, including that of 15 DMs, while the second list mentioned 23 new postings, including 10 DMs, in one of the largest postings in the past several months.

Among the important changes, Arvind Malappa Bangri and Nikhil Tikaram Funde have been appointed special secretaries to the CM. Nitish Kumar is the new MD of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited while Shruti is the new MD of Dakshinanchal Power Supply Corporation. Ashutosh Niranjan has been appointed the new transport commissioner, replacing Kinjal Singh who has been made secretary of Secondary Education. Lakhimpur Kheri DM Durga Shakti Nagpal has been promoted to divisional commissioner of Devipatan.

Shashi Bhushan Lal Sushil is the new principal secretary MSME, while Ravindar Singh is special secretary power and additional sources of power. Jhansi DM Mridul Chaudhary is the new special secretary tourism. Ashwani Kumar Pandey has been posted as director minority welfare. Harshita Mathur is the new director of child development and nutrition, and Anita Verma Singh is the new special secretary for food and logistics.

Prem Ranjan Singh is the additional state project director for Sarv Shiksha Mission while Abhishek Pandey has been appointed additional commission, land administration. Sanjeev Ranjan has been posted as special secretary agriculture while J Reebha has been given charge as special secretary of geology and mining. Ashutosh Kumar Dwivedi is special secretary PWD while Badri Narayan Singh is special secretary for higher education.

Diksha Jain is the new additional CEO of UP State Industrial Development Authority, while Aparajita Singh Sinsiwar has been posted as vice chairperson, Bulandshahr Khurja, Development Authority. Pranata Aishwarya is the new vice-chairperson of Muzaffarnagar Development Authority.

Of the 25 districts with new DMs, Gaurang Rathi has been posted to Jhansi, Indrajit Singh to Sultanpur, Kumar Harsh to Bulandshahr, Annapurna Garg to Shravasti, Alok Yadav to Shamli, Arvind Kumar Chauhan to Saharanpur, Nitin Gaur to Amroha, Abhishek Goyal to Hamirpur, Sarneet Kaur Broka to Rae Bareli, Nidhi Gupta Vats to Fatehpur, Ghanshyam Meena to Unnao, Anjani Kumar Singh to Lakhimpur Kheri, Indramani Tripathi to Mainpuri, Brajesh Kumar to Auraiya, and Manish Bansal to Agra.

Avinash Kumar is the new DM of Aligarh while Arvind Singh has been posted to Etah, Amit Aseri to Banda, Ankur Lathar to Farrukhabad, and Kavita Meena to Hapur. In addition to this, Isha Priya has been transferred to Hapur as DM while Charchit Gaur is the new DM of Sonbhadra, Anupam Shukla of Ghazipur, and Ishan Pratap Singh of Barabanki.
